Fitness video games give you the option of being able to work out in the privacy of your own home. You don\'t have to pay for expensive gym memberships or find the time to get in your car and drive to your local fitness center. Everything you need is in your home and you can exercise at any time of the day that suits your schedule.

Not only can you trim your waistline but this video game can help you with your specific exercise goals. You can develop body strength well improving your posture and overall fitness. The New U Mind Body Yoga & Pilates Workout has 115 different exercises that are demonstrated by real fitness trainers. You also can get real-time feedback with Wii Motion Plus. As well the video is compatible with the Wii Balance Board.


The EA Sports Active 2 with Total Body Tracking includes a heart rate monitor that provides constant on screen monitoring to capture the intensity of your workout. Because there is no hand held controller you have complete freedom while doing your workout but still have the Kinect Motion Camera track your every move. With this program you will also be able to customize your workouts from 70 different games and activities. You can build muscle with foundational exercises or shake up your exercise program with activities such as mountain biking, dodgeball or boxing.


If you are looking for a program than can suggest a number of activities then you might want to try the Wii Fit Plus. You can choose to run an obstacle course, zoom across a beach on your Segway or do some strength training. You will have so much fun that the time will quickly pass as you burn calories and get fit. You can also choose from aerobics, yoga, muscle toning exercises as well as juggling, skateboarding, snowball fight, a cannonball-evading event or even a balance game that combines both your physical and mental abilities.


You are probably familiar with the Biggest Loser TV show, but did you know there is an Xbox 360 fitness game called the Biggest Loser Ultimate Workout? You get the same trainers featured on the TV show plus you also get more than 125 exercises that you can play with two to four players. It\'s a great way to have some fun with the whole family while getting in shape. You can choose a workout program for your entire body using core, cardio, yoga and cardio boxing. You can even be part of an online community and compete in weekly challenges.
